About Eloisa
"I enjoy walking alongside people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves, and helping them rediscover hope, healing, and a sense of purpose."
Eloisa works with teens, young adults, and adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. Many of her clients are carrying past wounds, big transitions, or relationships that hurt more than they help. She offers a warm, unhurried space to make sense of what you have been through, at a pace that feels safe.
As an immigrant whose life has taken her from the Philippines to Paraguay to Canada, Eloisa knows what it means to start over. That lived experience of change and resilience shapes how she walks with people through their own difficult seasons.
Who she works with:
- Teens (13+) and young adults working through anxiety, low mood, school stress, or identity questions
- Adults healing from trauma or painful past experiences, including those who feel stuck in survival mode, self-blame, or shame
- People navigating depression, relationship conflict, or a major life transition
- Immigrants and newcomers who want a therapist who understands starting over, in English or Tagalog
Faith Integration
With a background in Christian ministry and a Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling, Eloisa can thoughtfully weave Scripture, prayer, and even Christian music into the work for clients who want it. She always asks first, and faith elements only enter therapy with your consent. Fully secular therapy is equally welcome, and your beliefs are met with openness and respect either way.
What Working Together Feels Like
Working with Eloisa feels warm, gentle, and collaborative. Healing happens at your own pace, so she won't rush you. People often describe her as having a nurturing presence that helps them feel safe, accepted, and understood without judgment.
You don't need to have the right words ready. Eloisa's hope is that you leave each session feeling a little lighter, more empowered, and more hopeful than when you came.
She adapts to what each person needs, meeting you where you are. Some sessions are about working through hard emotions. Others are about noticing patterns that no longer serve you and finding healthier ways to grow.
What You'll Gain
Over your first several sessions, clients often begin to notice:
Training & Approach
- Master of Divinity, Clinical Counselling — Tyndale University
- Master of Arts in Religious Education — Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Family Systems, Narrative, and Solution-Focused approaches
- Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)
- Trauma and Violence-Informed Care training
- Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
Eloisa refers out where a different level of care is the better fit, including active psychosis, concerns needing intensive treatment, or severe substance use. Honest scope is part of good care.
My Approach
Eloisa helps by providing a safe space where you can talk without fear of being judged, work through difficult emotions, and process what you have been through. When you feel stuck, she helps you make sense of what is going on, recognize patterns that no longer serve you, and supports you as you discover healthier ways to grow.
What Sessions Look Like
- → A first session focused on getting to know you, what led you here, and what you hope to achieve
- → Room to move at your own pace, with gentle structure when it helps
- → A whole-person lens: emotional, psychological, relational, and, when you want it, spiritual
Between sessions, Eloisa may suggest a practice to support your growth. If something feels overwhelming, you work through it together in session instead, with her support and encouragement. Nothing is ever another obligation.
Common Questions
Are sessions offered in languages other than English?
Yes. Eloisa's first language is Tagalog, and she provides therapy in both English and Tagalog. She also has conversational knowledge of Spanish.
Do I have to be a Christian to work with Eloisa?
Not at all. She welcomes clients from all backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life. For those who wish to integrate their Christian faith into therapy, she is happy to do so in a way that aligns with your preferences and goals. It is always your choice.
I've never been to therapy before. What should I expect?
It is completely normal to feel uncertain about starting. Your first session is a chance to get to know each other, talk about what brings you in, and explore how Eloisa can best support you. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming in.
What if I become emotional during therapy?
Emotions are a natural part of the healing process. You do not have to apologize for crying or feeling overwhelmed. Therapy is a space where you can be honest about your experiences, and you will work through difficult emotions together at a pace that feels safe.
How often should I come to therapy?
This depends on your goals and needs. Many clients begin with weekly sessions and adjust the frequency as they make progress.
